Payouts that don't strand sellers
Payouts move real money, so the failure modes matter more than the happy path. A sustained round of work closed the ones that could cost you or your sellers:
- A failure mid-run no longer erases the run. Each disbursement is committed independently, so the ones that already went out stay recorded.
- No double-paying. A disbursement that was sent but never recorded is no longer re-billed; PayPal and Stripe now carry the same durable marker Trolley had.
- Rejections surface instead of stranding. A definitive rejection from a payment gateway is reported rather than leaving the seller in limbo.
- One stuck payout can't block the queue. A payout stranded mid-creation no longer prevents every later payout from running.
- Payout status follows the ledgers, and accrual follows actual fulfillment state, so what a seller is owed matches what they actually shipped.
